I think the 5th of July, and other days during the year, really gets overlooked as a day after a major holiday. I am certain the founding fathers really tied one on the night of July 4th and therefore July 5th was surely not a productive day.
If they went to work at all I'm sure it was one of those days where no one really does any work. Everyone stands around someone else's desk and talks about how merry they were the night before or maybe they just sat around any played Grey's Anatomy the Board Game. My point is that the day after major holidays should also be holidays - recovery days - if you will. Or as someone hilarious once said; there should be a day between Sunday and Monday called Smunday.
Lily on the other hand had a very productive July 5th. She hung out with Grandma Lorrie all morning while Mom & Dad went golfing. She went to visit Aunt Beaver, Uncle Kevin, and her new BF Colin. And then she went to Aunt Lizzie's for a cookout. Phew. It was a long day but fun.
