Goodbye, Naked Theme House!

The Naked Theme House (3728 Ledgewood, according to the Postal Service) is scheduled for demolition just as soon as Duke Energy can manage to turn the power off. Ironically, my lights just came back on after being roughed up by Hurricane Ike Turner.
I am not exactly sure how it came to be called the Naked Theme House but it may have gone something like this:
Random Person who was unfortunate enough to encounter us: What's your house's theme?
Grace or Becky: Being NAKED!

Colleen, Lauren, and I made a pilgrammage to our old house to get in one last look before it becomes the site of the new College of Business at Xavier. And of course, it wouldn't be a fitting goodbye without a visit from the XU Five-O. We broke just about every single rule while we lived there so why should we start following rules now? Here are some pictures to document our farewell. We brought pictures of all the nuggets to symbolize "pouring one out" for the Naked Theme House. If this weren't a blog about my infant daughter I would share some of our funnier moments. For now, it will suffice to say that it was a fine home and we have awesome memories of our time there.

As our friend Billy Joel once said, "Only the good die young".
